He has commented on the potential matchup between Italy and Cuba.

If we meet Cuba in the second phase of the World Championship, I would prefer not to play against them. I respect the country from where I am coming from. The staff and Blengini know my opinion. If that time comes, we’ll talk and make a choice. Maybe I enter the court without thinking about it, but now it’s difficult to say,” explains Juantorena.

Recall that Osmany is a player with the Cuban origins and the experience of playing for this national team. Meantime, he changed his sports citizenship and now he is playing for Italy.
