Cucine Lube Civitanova earned the third victory in as many games of the 2020/21 SuperLega Credem Banca regular season and did it by overcoming Itas Trentino with a clear win: 3-0 (25-15 26-24 25-18).

The players commanded by Ferdinando De Giorgi put on a great show of strength against a team that supposed to be their main title rival this season, at least, given the names they hired in the off-season. Instead, Trentino already suffered two defeats.

Osmany Juantorena was Lube’s best scorer in the classic with 16 points, which was the same number of points the Dutchman Nimir Abdel-Aziz put down for the losing side. Simone Anzani added 5 blocks to the Lube’s win, while Cuban-Brazilian Yoandy Leal made a 71 % attack.

Allianz Milano were stunned by Tonno Callipo Calabria Vibo Valentia for which Brazilian Aboubacar Neto “Abouba“ and Frenchman Thibault Rossard tallied 20 points apiece.
