In one of the greatest classics of Italian men’s club volleyball, Trentino swept unrecognizable Lube, which is considered quite an upset given the ranking of these two sides in the 2020/21 Italian Men’s SuperLega Credem Banca regular season: 3-0 (25-22 25-23 25-22). Trentino are eighth, but now with three successive wins on their account, while Lube are the vice-leaders.

Losing today, Lube got further detached from the leaders Sir Safety Conad Perugia (36 points vs 31). The Dutchman Nimir Abdel-Aziz top-scored Trentino with 17 points, including 4 aces. Brazilian Ricardo Lucarelli made 73 % attack (11/15). Luxembourgish Kamil Rykhlicki tallied 18 points on the losing side.

Perugia struggled in the first two sets but achieved a straight-set victory over the hosts Kioene Padova. Cuban-Polish Wilfredo León led the ’Block Devils’ to the fifth win in a row, with 13 points. Fabio Ricci set up 6 blocks.
