It will be the sixth consecutive experience for PalaTrento and absolute last act of the Italian league during the thirteen year history of the Company. Earlier this goal was centered in the 2007/08 season when Trento overcame Roma 2-0 in the semifinals and then won it again getting the better in three games (2-1) of Piacenza. In the 2008/09 the team was given access to the final with a victory in three games (3-0) against Cuneo in their semi-final but then gave up the fifth match (2-3) against Copra Nordmeccanica Piacenza. In the 2009/10 when, after having got the better of Macerata in four games Itas Diatec Trentino bowed Cuneo to the first edition of V-Day. In the 2010/11, when, after having won in five races Modena (3-2), and in the last, when it overcame Latina with a 2-0 final set without leaving a single one (dual 3-0) and then handed over to Cuneo in the V-Day.
This is the twenty-first final ever for the Company, the fourteenth national taking into account also those played in Florence, Turin, Cagliari and Modena respectively for the Italian Super Cup 2008, 2010, 2011 and 2012, and Montecatini Terme, Verona, Rome and Milan for the Italian Cup in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013.
The budget in the games that assign a title sees the formation “gialloblù” victorious in thirteen out of twenty circumstances: two championship finals (May 7, 2008, 3-0 to PalaTrento against Piacenza in Game 3 and 15 May 2012, 3-0 against Cuneo), three Champions League finals (April 5, 2009 – 3-1 at the O2 Arena in Prague against Iraklis Thessaloniki, May 2, 2010 – Atlas Arena 3-0 to Dinamo Moscow, March 27, 2011 – 3-1 to PalaOnda against Zenit Kazan), four finals of the Club World Cup, (Doha November 8, 2000 and December 21, 2010, against Belchatow, October 14, 2011 against Jastrzebski and 19 October 2012 against Sada) and three Cup finals in Italy: 31 January 2010 (3-1 against Cuneo), February 19, 2012 (3-2 against Macerata) and December 30, 2012 (3-1 against Macerata).
Only two teams in the history of the league playoffs have been able to win six consecutive finals: Sisley Treviso (between 1994 and 1999 and then 7 between 2001 and 2007) and Modena Volleyball (between 1985 and 1990).
