Leo Shoes PerkinElmer Modena first got pinned to the ground by Top Volley Cisterna in Round 10 of the 2021/22 Italian Men’s Volleyball Championship but then came back and won the match.
Top Volley snatched a point from Modena, which showed great character by recovering and bringing home a victory.
The Latina-based club touched surprise in the 10th round of 2021/22 SuperLega Credem Banca, being two sets up against, at that moment, unrecognizable Modena but Andrea Giani’s guys woke up in time to avoid the knockout and pack a great comeback to which they were led by the Dutchman Nimir Abdel-Aziz (24 points) and Frenchman Earvin Ngapeth (75% reception; 12 digs, 25% perfect). This was Modena’s fourth successive victory in the competition.
