Prosecco Doc Imoco Volley Conegliano won the photo finish for the top seed in the 2021/22 Serie A regular season. ’The Panthers’ won the last-round (Round 26) match on the court of Volley Bergamo 1991 and claimed first place thanks to the better set-ratio in relation to 2nd-placed Igor Gorgonzola Novara (also successful tonight: 3-0 vs Reala Mutua Fenera Chieri). Both Imoco and Novara have 66 points, a 23-3 record, but Imoco’s set ratio is 3.17, while Novara’s is 2.87. Imoco’s result is worth the direct qualification to the next CEV Champions League and the home-court advantage throughout the entire playoffs.

Despite a defeat, Bergamo players saw themselves smiling at the end of the match, as they survived in the league thanks to Delta Despar Trentino’s failure against Vero Volley Monza (0-3).
