ITA W: Vero Volley defeated Chieri to secure 3rd place, wins for Conegliano and Perugia

The 22nd round of the Italian championship continued with three games played on March 11, Vero Volley defeated Chieri to secure 3rd place, wins for Conegliano and Perugia.

Vero Volley Milano claimed a dominant 3-0 victory over Reale Mutua Fenera Chieri ’76 in an away game held at PalaFenera. The partial scores were 23-25, 20-25, and 18-25. With this win, Milano secured their third position in the standings. Jordan Larson and Myriam Sylla both shone as the top scorers of the match, each contributing 13 points, while Jovana Stevanovic and Jordan Thompson added 11 points each to help Vero Volley Milano clinch the victory. Francesca Villani put up an solid performance, scoring 17 points for Reale Mutua Fenera Chieri ’76.

Prosecco Doc Imoco Conegliano secured a important victory in front of a packed Palaverde stadium, defeating Novara for the fourth time this season with a score of 3-1 (22-25, 25-23, 25-19, 25-13). This win enabled Conegliano to earn three important points, helping them maintain their lead in the championship. Isabelle Haak was the star of the match, contributing 24 points with an impressive 57% attack rate, while Federica Squarcini added 13 points and Kathryn Plummer added 11. Despite the loss, Novara’s Ebrar Karakurt scored 20 points, and Caterina Bosetti added 12 points to their total.

In the third game of the day, Bartoccini-Fortinfissi Perugia emerged victorious over Il Bisonte Firenze with a score of 3-1 (25-15, 27-25, 17-25, 25-20).
