This set has now entered Serie A history as the third-highest scoring set ever, equaling another Novara match against Modena in 2001.
Il Bisonte Firenze, didn’t give up and managed to close the gap to 2-1. The match showcased exceptional performances from all outside hitters: Kraiduba scoring 19 points (15 in the second set), Alsmeier with 18, and Ishikawa contributing 16. Novara relied on their last ounces of energy to seal the match, thanks to Akimova’s 29 points, Danesi’s 19, and Bosetti’s and MVP Chirichella’s 15 points each.
In another match of the day, Megabox Ondulati Del Savio Vallefoglia secured three points against Itas Trentino, distancing themselves from the bottom of the standings.
