In their first match of the 2024 season, Italy’s national women’s volleyball team swept Sweden with a 3-0 victory (25-13, 25-9, 25-13) at the PalaIgor in Novara.
Camilla Mingardi led the scoring with 12 points. Italy showcased their dominance right from the start, taking an early lead and never looking back.
The team will play Sweden again tomorrow at the PalaBancaSport in Piacenza. The match also saw the return of Julio Velasco as head coach, supported by assistants Massimo Barbolini and Lorenzo Bernardi.
