Prosecco Doc Imoco Conegliano secured its seventh Coppa Italia Frecciarossa title in front of 9,000 fans at the Unipol Arena, making history as the most successful team in the competition’s history. The final against Numia Vero Volley Milano ended in a dominant 3-0 victory (37-35, 25-20, 25-20), with Isabelle Haak earning MVP honors after scoring 21 points.
The match opened with an epic first set, lasting a record-breaking 37-35, the longest in Coppa Italia final history. Despite a stellar Paola Egonu (24 points), Milano couldn’t stop Conegliano’s momentum. Gabi contributed 15 points with outstanding defense (73% reception efficiency), while Monica De Gennaro cemented her legacy with a record-tying seventh title.
Conegliano’s dominance continued in the second and third sets, closing both at 25-20. Milano showed resilience but couldn’t match Conegliano’s firepower, with Zhu Ting and Haak sealing the decisive points.
League President Mauro Fabris praised the event’s success and Conegliano’s continued excellence, while players reflected on the intense battle:
- Gabi (Conegliano): “It was an incredible win, especially the first set—point by point, we never gave up.”
- Laura Heyrman (Milano): “We fought hard, but they kept up the intensity. We didn’t deserve a 3-0, but we keep growing.”
With this win, Conegliano secures its third trophy of the season, reaffirming its dominance in Italian volleyball.
