ITA M: Civitanova Stuns Verona 3–0 and Climbs to the Top

Cucine Lube Civitanova delivered the perfect gift to their fans, a convincing 3–0 win (25–20, 26–24, 26–24) over Rana Verona in the 6th round of the SuperLega Credem Banca. The victory lifts Civitanova to the top of the standings with 13 points, extending their home unbeaten streak to 15 regular season matches.

Civitanova started strong and never looked back. The home side dominated the first set with sharp serves and a confident attack led by Alex Nikolov, who was honored before the match as Credem Banca’s MVP for October. The young Bulgarian finished as top scorer with 20 points, while Eric Loeppky, named MVP of the match, shone in the decisive rallies with 14 points.

Verona fought hard, especially in the second and third sets, with Darlan (15 points), Keita (12) and Mozic (11) all in double figures, but struggled with inconsistent reception. In the end, Lube’s composure in key moments made the difference.

Civitanova’s coach Giampaolo Medei praised his team’s focus and intensity, while the crowd of 3,695 fans celebrated yet another flawless home performance. Setter Riccardo Boninfante, marking his 100th Regular Season appearance, guided the attack with experience and precision.

Elsewhere, Valsa Group Modena also earned a clean 3–0 home win over Sonepar Padova (25–22, 25–20, 25–17). Modena’s Buchegger led with 15 points, supported by a solid team effort.
