Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza delivered impressive performance, defeating Vero Volley Monza in straight sets (25–23, 25–23, 25–17) at the Opiquad Arena to kick off the 8th round of the SuperLega Credem Banca Regular Season.
The star of the night was Efe Mandiraci, who earned the MVP award after scoring 22 points and dominating both offensively and defensively. Supporting him was Alessandro Bovolenta, who added 11 points to Piacenza’s tally.
For Monza, it was another tough night following their midweek loss to Perugia. Despite solid efforts from Luka Marttila (11 points) and Martin Atanasov (10 points), coach Massimo Eccheli’s men couldn’t find consistency, remaining at 4 points in the standings.
