Vero Volley Monza secured second straight victory and its first away win of the season, defeating Sonepar Padova 3–1 (25–22, 18–25, 30–28, 25–20) in a SuperLega Credem Banca matchup at Kioene Arena.

Opposite Krisztián Padar powered Monza with 32 points on an efficient 71% hitting, earning MVP honors. Despite a 33-point performance from Padova’s Masulovic, the home side was unable to capitalize in key moments, particularly late in the third set.
Monza controlled the match defensively, outblocking Padova 14–4. After trailing 21–18, Monza rallied to win 30–28, a momentum shift that carried into the fourth set. Middle blocker Jacopo Larizza helped spark an early 7–1 run as Monza closed out the match comfortably.
“The match was intense from start to finish,” Larizza said. “Taking the third set was critical. Now we’re focused on Grottazzolina, which could determine our place in the Coppa Italia Quarterfinals.”
Padova opened with Todorovic and Masulovic on the diagonal, Orioli and Gardini as outside hitters, and Polo and Truocchio in the middle. Monza responded with Zimmermann at setter, Padar at opposite, Röhrs and Atanasov as outside hitters, and Mosca and Beretta middle blockers.
With the win, Monza overtakes Padova in the standings. Monza will face Yuasa Battery Grottazzolina, with eighth place, and a potential Coppa Italia berth, still within reach.
