At the PalaBancaSport, Piacenza dominated MA Acqua S.Bernardo Cuneo with a straight-sets win (25-17, 25-22, 25-17). The result pushes Piacenza closer to the top four and sees them move ahead of Cucine Lube Civitanova in the standings. Piacenza’s attack was led by Mandiraci, Galassi, and Bovolenta, who combined for 36 points. For Cuneo, Sedlacek was the lone player to reach double figures, while French outside hitter Alexandre Strehlau marked his SuperLega debut with his first point in Italy.

In Trento, a repeat of last season’s Scudetto Final again went the way of the home side. Itas Trentino defeated Civitanova 3–1 (25-22, 25-20, 21-25, 25-22) to climb, at least temporarily, to the top of the table. Alessandro Michieletto scored 17 points, with strong support from Ramon and Faure, while Flavio also reached double digits. Civitanova leaned heavily on Nikolov’s 24 points but could not overturn the early two-set deficit.

The Round 14 action continues today, January 4, with Sir Susa Scai Perugia hosting Allianz Milano, Sonepar Padova facing Valsa Group Modena, and fixtures between Vero Volley Monza and Rana Verona, as well as Yuasa Battery Grottazzolina against Cisterna Volley.
