ITA W: Chieri edge Bergamo, Conegliano rebound in Serie A1

Chieri claimed a dramatic tie-break win in Bergamo as Sunday’s matches closed the 18th round of Italy’s Serie A1 Tigotà women’s volleyball season, with victories also for Conegliano, Scandicci, Firenze and Vallefoglia.

Reale Mutua Fenera Chieri outlasted Bergamo 3–2 in a important clash, taking control of the decisive set for a 15–10 finish after trading momentum throughout the match.

League leaders Prosecco Doc A.Carraro Imoco Conegliano bounced back from their recent setback by defeating Igor Gorgonzola Novara 3–1. After dropping the opening set, Conegliano dominated behind a strong blocking performance and a 25-point outing from Gabi. Setter Wolosz earned MVP honors. The teams will meet again in the Coppa Italia semifinals.

Savino Del Bene Scandicci cruised past Omag-Mt San Giovanni in Marignano 3–0, controlling the match throughout, while Megabox Ond. Savio Vallefoglia made it seven straight league wins with a tight 3–0 victory over Eurotek Laica Uyba, all sets decided by narrow margins.

At the bottom end of the table, Il Bisonte Firenze collected crucial points with a 3–1 road win against Wash4Green Monviso Volley, led by a standout performance from Knollema.
