Perugia controlled the match after splitting the opening two sets, with Wassim Ben Tara reaching the milestone of 1,000 winning attacks in SuperLega play as his team stayed level with leaders Trentino.
Strong away performances also stood out. Rana Verona swept Vero Volley Monza in straight sets, while Valsa Group Modena recovered from a slow start to beat Sonepar Padova 3–1.
At the bottom of the table, Yuasa Battery Grottazzolina claimed a vital 3–2 home win over Cisterna Volley, tightening the relegation battle. Earlier in the weekend, Itas Trentino defeated Cucine Lube Civitanova, despite 24 points from Aleksandar Nikolov.
