ITA W: Milano rallies past Monviso to extend winning streak

Numia Vero Volley Milano came from behind to defeat Wash4green Monviso Volley 3–1, extending its winning streak and reinforcing its hold on third place in the standings.

Milano recovered after losing the opening set and went on to claim the match 23–25, 25–19, 25–21, 25–12 at the Pala Bus Company. The result marked a fourth consecutive victory for the visitors.

Paola Egonu led all scorers with 21 points and was named most valuable player, providing steady leadership as Milano gained control of the contest. The momentum shifted in the second set following the introduction of outside hitter Elena Pietrini, whose energy helped stabilize reception and spark the attack.

Milano tightened its defense as the match progressed, with strong work at the net from middle blockers Anna Danesi and Linda Sartori, allowing the visitors to pull away decisively in the final set.

Monviso remained competitive through three sets in front of 1,250 spectators but was unable to match Milano’s intensity late.
