ITA W: Cuneo slips in Bergamo as Monviso and Perugia reignite the survival fight

With just two rounds left in the Serie A1 Tigotà regular season, the relegation battle is turning into a full-blown thriller. While the title race at the top looks settled, Conegliano have already secured first place, the bottom of the table is anything but decided, with multiple teams separated by only a handful of points and every set now carrying huge weight.

Wednesday’s matches tightened the picture even more. Cuneo’s 1–3 home loss to Bergamo proved costly, dropping them deeper into danger and giving hope to their direct rivals. The big winners in the survival race were Wash4green Monviso Volley and Bartoccini-Mc Restauri Perugia: Monviso grabbed a crucial victory in the derby against Chieri, while Perugia finally returned to winning ways after a long drought, taking three points against Uyba.

Up top, Scandicci strengthened their grip on second place with a clean sweep at Vallefoglia, powered by the Franklin–Antropova duo. Milano also stayed firm near the top, overcoming a spirited San Giovanni in Marignano 3–1 at the Allianz Cloud behind strong contributions from Egonu and Pietrini. Elsewhere, Novara delivered a straight-sets win in Macerata, including a marathon second set, leaving Macerata with little margin for error heading into the final two matchdays.
