ITA M: SuperLega Regular Season Ends; Play-Off Matchups Confirmed

The regular season of Italy’s SuperLega Credem Banca has officially wrapped up, locking in the eight teams that will battle for the national title. Sir Susa Scai Perugia finished at the summit after a dominant campaign, winning 20 of 22 matches and collecting 58 points.

Rana Verona secured second place with 48 points, followed by Itas Trentino (47) and Valsa Group Modena (47). Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza finished fifth on 44 points, ahead of Cucine Lube Civitanova (40), Allianz Milano (32), and Vero Volley Monza (25).

The quarter-finals begin March 8 in a best-of-five format, with higher-seeded teams hosting Games 1, 3, and, if necessary, 5.

Among the standout individual performances, Gabriel Faure scored 15 points for Trentino, while Oleh Plotnytskyi led Perugia with 18. Aleksandar Nikolov delivered 16 points for Civitanova, and Ferre Reggers powered Milano with 18. In the only five-set clash of the night, Mandiraci tallied 20 points for Piacenza despite the loss.

With the regular season complete, the focus now shifts to the play-offs, where Perugia enter as favorites — but several contenders remain firmly in the hunt for the Italian championship.
