Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza earned an important 3-1 road win over Valsa Group Modena in Game 3 of the SuperLega Credem Banca quarterfinals, moving ahead 2-1 in the series.
After taking the first set 25-17, Piacenza saw Modena level the match with an identical score in the second. The visitors responded by winning the third set 25-20 and sealed the victory in a hard-fought fourth set, 30-28.
Mandiraci led Piacenza with 19 points, while Gutierrez (13), Bovolenta (12), and Simon (12) provided support. Modena was led by Porro with 19 points and Davyskiba with 16.
