ITA M: Perugia and Civitanova Reach Semi-Finals; Milano Extends Series

Sir Susa Vim Perugia and Cucine Lube Civitanova secured their spots in the SuperLega Credem Banca semi-finals with decisive victories, while Allianz Milano kept their quarter-final hopes alive after a five-set win over Verona.

Perugia, winners of the regular season, completed a clean 3-0 series sweep against Vero Volley Monza with a straight-sets victory at home. Oleh Plotnytskyi and Wassim Ben Tara led the team with 13 points each. For Monza, Erik Rohrs scored 15 points, supported by Diego Frascio with 11. Perugia now advances to the semi-finals, where they will face either Modena or Piacenza.

Civitanova also progressed with a 3-1 away win over Itas Trentino, sealing a 3-0 series result. Aleksandar Nikolov starred with 25 points to earn MVP honors, while Mattia Bottolo (16) and Eric Loeppky (13) provided significant support. Trentino, missing key players, was led by Alessandro Bristot (17), Theo Faure (15), and Jordi Ramon (15), but fell short in the closing stages.

In Verona, Allianz Milano fought back to win 3-2 and extend the series. Tatsunori Otsuka scored 17 points and proved decisive in the tie-break, while Ferre Reggers led Milano with 24 points. Verona’s Noumory Keita delivered a match-high 29 points, with Rok Mozic adding 16, but the hosts were unable to close out the series. Verona still leads 2-1, with Game 4 set for March 21.

In the remaining quarter-final, Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza moved ahead 2-1 in the series after a 3-1 win over Valsa Group Modena.
