Megabox Vallefoglia claimed a thrilling five-set victory over Savino Del Bene Scandicci, while defending champions Imoco Conegliano maintained their perfect start to the 2026/27 Italian Women’s Volleyball Serie A1 season with a straight-sets win over UYBA Busto Arsizio.

Alessia Bolzonetti led Vallefoglia to a 3-2 victory in Pesaro, producing a match-high 27 points in front of 1,403 spectators at the Vitrifrigo Arena.
The hosts won the opening two sets before Scandicci fought back to force a tie-break. Vallefoglia responded under pressure, edging the deciding set 15-13 as Bolzonetti delivered five crucial points to secure MVP honors.
Erblira Bici contributed 21 points for Vallefoglia, while Kiera Van Ryk led Scandicci with 24. The defeat marked Scandicci’s second consecutive five-set loss, leaving them with two points from their opening two matches.
Meanwhile, Conegliano continued their strong start with a 3-0 victory over UYBA before 4,993 spectators at the Palaverde.
Daniele Santarelli’s team dominated the opening set 25-9, recording nine successful blocks. UYBA offered stronger resistance in the following sets, but Conegliano prevailed 25-21 and 27-25.
Isabelle Haak led the scoring with 18 points, including the match-winning ace, while Raphaela Folie earned MVP honors. Lena Grozer led UYBA with 15 points.
The second round of the Italian Serie A1 championship continues on Sunday, October 11, with five more matches scheduled.
