Lube
Lube won this derby only after a tie-break and also after trailing 2-1 in sets – 3-2 (25-19, 21-25, 23-25, 25-15, 15-10). Especially impressive were the fourth and fifth set, when Lube simply destroyed the rival.
On the other hand, Modena showed many weaknesses in the last 3 rounds when it lost against both main candidates for the title (Trentino and Lube) and won a tiebreaker versus Verona.
Lube was led by the trio – Bartosz Kurek (17), Marko Podraščanin (16) and Simone Parodi (15).
On the other side, Luca Vettori and Nemanja Petrić had 14, while Earvin Ngapeth and Péter Veres scored 13 each.
Energy T.I. Diatec Trentino was very confident against Copra Piacenza – 3-0 (25-17, 25-17, 27-25) for the 8th win in a row in the Italian championship and 12th consecutive overall!
Trentino had Martin Němec with 17 and Filippo Lanza with 16 points. In Piacenza, Raydel Poey was the top scorer – 14 points.
