Igor Gorgonzola Novara had to say goodbye to its series of five victories because it bumped into great team of Unendo Yamamay Busto Arsizio. Novara led at home court by 1-0 and 2-1 in sets but finally laid the weapon in front of Valentina Diouf (29), Helena Havelková (16) and company. In Novara, Katarina Barun had 20 and Kimberly Hill 17 points.
Other major favorite, the second placed Liu Jo Modena lost away game to Savino Del Bene Scandicci, the team that holds the spot in the standings in between playoff and playout zone.
Tereza Vanžurová was outstanding with 22 points for the winning team. Daiana Mureșan added 17. They outscored Modena’s Samanta Fabris (24) and Francesca Piccinini (20).
