Trentino – Perugia
The leader of Serie A1 in the regular season took home court advantage and eliminated great rivals from Perugia in the third game od the series (2-1) after almost dropping 2-0 lead in sets – 3-2 (25-20, 29-27, 22-25, 25-27, 16-14).
Crowded „PalaTrento“ celebrates Matey Kaziyski and Mitar Djurić! The Bulgarian scored 25 while the Greek, who was in the starting line-up for the first time since he arrived from Korea, had 23 points!
On the other side, Aleksandar Atanasijević was brilliant with 29, followed by Christian Fromm (18). The German took this defeat very emotinally and cryed at the end of the match.
So, the great finals of Serie A1 will be played between two best teams overall, Parmareggio Modena Volley and Trentino. First match is scheduled for May 3 in Trento.
