Ivan Zaytsev, Dragan Travica, Giulio Sabbi and Luigi Randazzo were expelled from the national team due to discipline violation, and the head coach Berutto explained his decision:
“There are some values that must be respected when you are in the national team. If it has not been clear until this day, then now it is. The decision was made in agreement with the Italian Volleyball Federation.”
Recall that Berruto called up Davide Saitta, Jacopo Botto and Gabriele Nelli to join the team. They will arrive in Rio on Tuesday.
