On today’s meeting of the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) in Rome, Italy and Bulgaria officially released joint bid to co-host Men’s World Championship, in three years.

Newly elected President of the CEV, Serbian Aleksandar Boričić, was pleased with this decision from Italy and Bulgaria and emphasized he was sure that they will be able to deliver one of the best volleyball events ever. Recall, that both countries firstly had desire to host WCH alone.

Joint candidacy of Italy and Bulgaria is first of the kind for the World Championship after a series of successful joint organizations of Europe’s Championships, which was began by Serbia and Italy, in 2005.
