The squad of Andrea Gianni beat Padova in straight sets 25-23, 25-18, 26-24!
But, it was not an easy win of Verona, especially in the first and third set! Uros Kovacevic was the man who brought 1-0 win in sets after scoring from position 4!
In the second set, away side were struggling to stop actions from the other side and home team easily increased the lead 2-0!
The third set was uncertain! At the result 24:24, Starovic scored for another set point and after Berger’s mistake, Verona clinched the win.
Sasa Starovic was the top scorer with 17 points.
