Lube
Thanks to explosiveness of Osmany Juantorena (15 points) and Serbian Ivan Miljković (14 points) in the attack, almost perfect Lube closed the quarterfinal series against Ninfa Latina in three games.
Thus, Lube continued their winning streak, which includes regular season, to 14 games, took revenge on Latina for last season’s elimination from playoffs and can fly to Ankara for the rematch of the CEV Champions League Playoffs 6 with high morale.
Ninfa did their best to stay in the game in the first part of the first two sets, but eventually gave up to opponents of, currently, higher class.
French – Brazilian duo Earvin Ngapeth (19 pts.) – Lucas Saatkamp (13) led DHL Modena to 2-1 lead in series against Tonazzo Padova giving the match ball to their team for advancing to the semis, on March 27 (Game 4).
