Piacenza made a full turnover in quarterfinal series against Savino Del Bene Scandicci 2-1. In Game 3, Piacenza achieved a four-set triumph, partially 22-25, 25-19, 25-19, 25-22.
Member of Italy’s National team, Indre Sorokaite, scored game-high 20 points. The Dutch Floortje Meijners also had a significant role in Piacenza – 16 points, 3 aces. Federica Stufi had 13 points and 3 blocks in Scandicci.
Thus, Piacenza scheduled semifinal clash with Foppapedretti Bergamo who caused a sensation by eliminating Europe’s champions Pomì Casalmaggiore. The other semifinal pair is Imoco Volley Conegliano – Liu Jo Modena.
