During the official presentation of the Czech Jan Štokr, Trentino’s General Manager Bruno Da Re clarified some rumors circulating around the club on the coaching staff and roster for 2016/2017.

Da Re confirmed Trentino are in final stage of negotiations with Modena Volley on hiring Matteo Piano, but it does not mean Belgian Simon van de Voorde will depart. Also, he stated Sir Safety Conad Perugia did not approach him in regard to hiring libero Massimo Colaci. Da Re revealed club said goodbye to Bulgarian Matey Kaziyski, who will definitely play in Japan next season.

As for the coach for the next season, Da Re emphasized that Trentino are not searching for the new coach (rumor was that Angelo Lorenzetti will come) so it seems Radostin Stoytchev remains on the bench of Trentino.

„True, with the arrival of Štokr we hired a high-level athlete to compensate departure of Mitar Djurić. Nelli will stay so that we can have strong replacement on that position. Our intention is to renew with Giannelli, Lanza, Urnaut, Colaci, Solé, the both Mazzones, Tiziano and Daniele, while Antonov is secured for two more seasons… Personally, however, I believe that one of the major reinforcements for the next season is … Pippo Lanza,“ Da Re said.
