Paola Egonu from Club Italia, who recently set new Italian Women’s Volleyball Championship record, landed on the foot of Dominican Brayelin Martínez from Yamamay Busto Arsizio in Round 4 game last night. And when that happens, it is never good.
She was taken out of the field in pain and was unable to resume the game. The severity of Egonu’s ankle injury is still not known.
