On December 6 they will face Germany’s reigning champions Berlin Recycling Volleys. In Pool B are also the Polish team Asseco Resovia RZESZOW and Czech champions Dukla LIBEREC.
“It is a very difficult pool,” said Cucine Lube’s head coach Gianlorenzo Blengini, “as we have in our group one of the best Polish teams, which is very experienced in this competition since RZESZOW was our opponent in the bronze medal match of the last edition. The same applies to the BERLIN Recycling Volleys who finished in third place two years ago. As for Dukla LIBEREC, the Czechs have a very interesting team which is participating in the Champions League for the second time in a row.”
Serbian middle blocker Dragan Stankovic is now the veteran of the team. “I would love to make it again to the Final Four. And if we get there, for sure we’ll do our best to improve the result we achieved last season.”
