It’s middle blocker Simone Anzani, who is coming from Blue Volley Verona!
“I’ve arrived in one of the top teams and this is a huge honour for me. When I received an offer from Perugia, I simply couldn’t refuse it. It’s a great feeling for me since I have become a teammate with the world stars such as De Cecco, Zaytsev, Atanasijevic… It’s going to be a very exciting challenge for me,” says Anzani for Perugia’s website.
The head coach Lorenzo Bernardi was very satisfied with the transfer.
“Simon is a player who will be very useful for us in the next season. We are talking about a middle blocker with a good physicality. He played important games in a jersey of Verona, winning the Challenge Cup. We saw his displays against us where he was on a really high level. Therefore, he is a good addition to our squad,” says Bernardi.
He is also a member of the Italian men’s national team.
