Despite the fact he was not summoned to the Italian National Team roster for the two major tournaments in 2017, the FIVB World League and CEV European Championship (or he was planned for both tournaments, but refused), Juantorena posted a photo on Instagram, sending a message to the Italian fans he will likely be at the disposal of the national team head coach Gianlorenzo Blengini for the upcoming tournaments after the European Champs (August 24-September 3).
Juantorena began preparations for the next season in the jersey of Italy, not Cucine Lube Civitanova, which it is certainly a good sign for all volleyball fans in his country!
