ITALIAN CUP M: Verona down Milano to play Modena in quarterfinals, Monza and Ravenna also advance

Verona, a club that has high ambitions this season in all competitions, downed Milano, who highly reinforced their squad for the 2017/18, in the second round (8th Finals) of the Italian Cup, 3-1 (24-26, 25-22, 25-21, 25-20), to advance to the quarterfinals where they will face Azimut Modena.

Gi Group Monza upset Taiwan Excellence Latina as they beat them in straight sets, partially 25-17, 25-22, 25-22, thanks to 15 points from the Czech opposite Michal Finger. Monza will play Diatec Trentino in the next stage of the tournament.

Bunge Ravenna was the third side to qualify for the quarterfinals today and scheduled a duel with Serie A1 champions Cucine Lube Civitanova. They defeated Tonno Callipo Calabria Vibo Valentia on the road 3-1 (25-21, 22-25, 25-9, 25-17).
