ITA M: New record – Verona and Ravenna played the longest match in history of Serie A1! (STATS)

The Verona vs. Ravenna 3-2 was the longest-lasting Men’s Serie A1 match in the era of the rally point system which began to be used in Italy in 2000 (the FIVB officially introduced it in 1998): 162 minutes! It topped a duel between Da Rold Logistics Belluno and Tonno Callipo Calabria Vibo Valentia 2-3, in 2011, who lasted 160 minutes.

There are some more stunning details of the match A duel in AGSM Forum, in Verona, that set the new record: the second set lasted 44 minutes, while the tie-break lasted 29 minutes!

The Serie A2 (division 2) game between Gherardi Svi Città Di Castello and Kioene Padova 3-2, in 2010, was officially the longest Men’s game in Italy overall with 163 minutes.
