Revivre Milano became the fifth club to defeat powerhouse Azimut Modena in the 2017/18 Italian men’s volleyball championship SuperLega UnipolSai.

Not many clubs can brag they managed to recover two times while playing against Modena this season. Milano became one of them as they trailed by a 1-0 and 2-1 before outplaying rivals in the tie-break.

The win of Andrea Giani’s side is even more valuable knowing the fact it was achieved without league’s top scorer, the Dutch Nimir Abdel-Aziz, who is still recovering from injury. The Slovenian Klemen Čebulj took the role of the leader on the court, pouring in 24 points while Gianluca Galassi and Matteo Piano made 11 kill blocks combined of 16 kill blocks by a team. The Frenchman Earvin Ngapeth tallied 30 points (3 aces) for Modena.

Diatec Trentino, Cucine Lube Civitanova, and Sir Safety Conad Perugia scored wins worth three points.
