Castellana Grotte – Latina
Block was the key for coach Gulinelli‘s victory, they had 20. Yosifov had 8 and Cester 6.
BCC-NEP started well end left for the first time-out with 8-5. Castellana Grotte was led by Yosifov to 14-8. Latina came close (15-13). In the end of the first set, Latina led 23-24 . Troy missed from the service line, and a few points later Verhees closes the set, 26-24.
In the second set BCC-NEP started better 7-4, however, Latina made three consecutive points, it was equal at 7:7 with Latina that takes confidence. After that the guests escaped forward, 16-19. But the host dig deep and managed to win 25-23.
Prandi left Jarosz and played Cisolla instead of Noda Blanco. The moves gave the desired result especially thanks to Cisolla who was best for Andreoli, they were leading 8-14. Castellana Grotte almost makes a comeback, 15-17, stopped only by Jarosz. Latina takes good ball change and takes the third set, 22-25.
The guests started to appear more confident with Cisolla and Jarosz in the field. Patriarca put his signature on the set with two great blocks, 20-25.
It was 9-8 when Viktor Yosifov went to the service line and ended the game. His ace was the last point in the game, 15 – 8.
