V-League leaders, with returnee in the line-up Michał Kubiak, lost on road to reigning champions Gosei Trefuerza 3-2 (22-25, 19-25, 25-23, 25-20, 15-12) despite having 2-0 lead in sets. The main figure of the game was Croatian bomber Igor Omrčen with 43 points from attack (71 hits), adding 5 blocks and 1 ace! On the other side, Polish Kubiak returned to the court after more than one month of break due to calf injury, and topped Panthers’ scorers with 20 points but with only 17 kills from 42 attempts. This was third defeat of the Panthers this season.

JT Thunders made an important win in their fight to advance to Top 6. They prevailed over Suntory Sunbirds 3-2 thanks to 29 points from Serbian Dražen Luburić. Brazilian Wallace Martins had 32 on the other side.

As for other Round 13 matches, JTEKT Stings and Toray Arrows made straight-set wins.

In Women’s competition, Toyota Queenseis caused upset to leaders Hitachi Rivale 3-2 (25-19, 25-21, 17-25, 22-25, 15-12). Azerbaijani Polina Rahimova scored 35 points (31 kills from 83 attempts!) for the winners while Hisae Watanabe had 26 in Hitachi.

In a direct clash for Top 6 spot, Toray Arrows defeated JT Marvelous in the tie-break. Mari Horikawa highlighted Toray with 27 points. That is how much Thai Onuma Sittirak scored for the losing team.
