Gosei Trefuerza caught a great momentum in Top 6 of the Japanese Men’s volleyball Championship, V-League.

Reigning champions of the „Land of the Rising Sun“ gave no chance to the main title contenders besides them, Panasonic Panthers, 3-0 (25-17, 25-18, 25-16). Do you want to guess who highlighted Trefuerza? Of course, it was Croatian opposite hitter Igor Omrčen. He poured 24 points while the Pole Michał Kubiak had 11 on the other side.

Macedonian Nikola Gjorgiev topped Toray Arrows in their straight-set win over Osaka Blazers with 21 points (3 aces). Brazilian Wallace Martins scored 15 for the losing team.

Suntory Sunbirds, led by Cuban Yadrian Escobar (27 points), beat JTEKT Stings 3-1 to successfully open Top 6 campaign. Bulgarian Matey Kaziyski noted 20 for the Stings.

In Women’s competition, Top 6 went to the second round where title holders Hisamitsu Springs achieved another win only after the tie-break. They downed Hitachi Rivale after trailing 2-0! Risa Shinnabe was the most efficient player in the winning team with 24 points. Hisae Watanabe collected 22 for Hitachi.

Toyota Queenseis recover from opening defeat to prevail over JT Marvelous in straight sets thanks to 20 from Azerbaijani Polina Rahimova. Mizuki Tanaka scored 14 for the newcomers.
