In the first match JTEKT Stings outplayed Toyoda Gosei 3-0 (25-19, 25-22, 25-16) and Bulgarian attacker Matey Kaziyski was the top scorer of the winning with 21 points.
Croatian opposite Igor Omrčen led Gosei with 25 points but that wasn’t enough.
The second match is scheduled for tomorrow. If Toyota wins 3-0, 3-1 or 3-2 there will be a golden set.
Winner of this series will play in the Final against Torey Arrows.
