Turkish coach Ferhat Akbaş will prepare Women's volleyball National team of Japan for Olympic Games 2020.

Successful Turkish coach Ferhat Akbaş is getting prepared for another important duty after working with Turkish National women’s volleyball team and lately CSM Bucuresti from Romania. Now, he will be the senior coach of women’s volleyball team of Japan that will be the host of Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. He is the first foreign coach in Japanes women’s volleyball team history.

Today, Ferhat together with Naoki Miyashita, general manager of Japan women’s National team have put their signatures on the contract and officialy became the coach of Japan.

In his carrer he coached China’s Guangdong Evergrande, Turkey’s Türk Telekom, Galatasaray and VakıfBank, became the head coach of Turkish Senior Women’s National Team in March 2015 and quit in December 2016. He continues his job as the head coach of CSM Bucuresti, one of the strongest teams in Romania, since January 2017.
