Japan Men’s V.League: Omrcen with 40 points led Gosei against Panthers

Gosei Trefuerza celebrated win in tie-break against Panasonic Panthers after 3-2 (25-20, 25-18, 18-25, 20-25, 15-13).

Gosei led 2-0 in sets when the host team makes turnover for 2-2. In fifth set the play was equal but at the end, Gosei won 3-2 and stayed unbeaten. Croatian opposite Igor Omrcen scored 40 points (38 att, 2 ac) and led the team to new victory. Kunihiro Shimizu scored 20 points each for Panasonic.

Toray Arrows were better than FC Tokyo 3-1 (25-20, 26-24, 18-25, 25-23) and thanks to Gavin Schmitt 22 points scored the second win in a row. Tokyo now have 5 defeats although Milan Pepić was the best scorer of the match and finished it with 32 points (28 att, 4 bl).

JT Thunders crushed Osaka Sakai 3-0 (25-23, 31-29, 25-12) who is still without a win. Thomas Edgar with 30 points was the top scorer in the winning team. Wallace Martins scored 19 points for Osaka.

JTEKT demonstrated power over Suntory Sunbirds 3-0 (26-24, 25-17, 25-19). Bulgarian attacker Matey Kaziyski scored 16 points (12 att, 4 bl), while in Santory, Yadrian Escobar Silva scored 12 points.
