KOR W: KVA Parts Ways With Women’s Head Coach Morales

The Korea Volleyball Association announced that it has terminated the contract of women’s national team head coach Fernando Morales following South Korea’s disapointing results from the FIVB Volleyball Nations League (VNL).

Morales was appointed in March last year under a two-year contract with an option for a one-year extension, subject to a performance evaluation after the initial term. The association’s Women’s Performance Improvement Committee convened on the same day and unanimously decided not to exercise the extension, effectively ending his tenure. South Korea recorded one win and 11 losses in the VNL, finishing last among the 18 participating teams and resulting in relegation for the next season.
