Despite 44 points from the American opposite Alaina Bergsma, who remained in Daejeon for the second consecutive season, Hyundai managed to make a comeback in the match twice before they prevailed in the tie-break, 23-25, 25-23, 21-25, 25-15, 22-20.
Bergsma’s compatriot and also a newcomer in the V-League, Elizabeth Campbell, topped Hyundai with 38 points, while Kim Se-Young made 8 kill blocks.
