QUEBEC, CANADA—In the ongoing 2023 NORCECA Senior Women’s Volleyball Continental Championship, Team USA defeated Cuba 3-0, demonstrating their offensive prowess with a 43-20 lead in attack points. Despite trailing in blocks, Team USA dominated in aces and capitalized on Cuban errors.
Player of the Game Andrea Drews led with 15 points, helping Team USA to maintain their 2-0 record in Group B. USA’s head coach Karch Kiraly praised his team’s performance and looked forward to their match against the Dominican Republic. Cuba, now 0-2, will aim for redemption against Costa Rica.
