Askö Linz/Steg crowned an amazing season (17-1 regular season, 5-0 playoffs, national Cup trophy) by winning the 2018/19 Austrian Volley League Women title, the first-ever in the club history.
The top seed Askö Linz/Steg swept the playoff final series with the second seed SG Prinz Brunnenbau Volleys by a 3-0, prevailing in Game 3 in four sets, partially 25-23, 25-23, 23-25 and 25-16, in 114 minutes.
The outside hitter Nikolina Maroš scored 21 points (four kill blocks) for the winning side. The American middle blocker Jordan Tucker finished her first professional season after coming to Austria from Duke University a year ago, with 22 points (seven kill blocks) for the losing side.
