OQT W: Ognjenović and Bošković lead Serbia’s roster in Olympic Qualifiers

Serbia national team will play Pool A, in Wrocław (Poland), against the hosts, Thailand and Puerto Rico.The head coach Zoran Terzić announced the 14-player squad that will try to book a ticket for the Olympics in the first attempt. An experienced setter Maja Ognjenović, who has reinforced the Turkish side VakıfBank in a transfer twist, returned to the national team after a year.

Just like in the recently finished FIVB Nations League, the Balkan side will be deprived of the help from the 2 important players, both middle blockers, Milena Rašić and Jovana Stevanović.

Serbia’s roster:

Setters: Maja Ognjenović, Slađana Mirković

Opposite hitters: Ana Bjelica, Tijana Bošković

Liberos: Silvija Popović, Teodora Pušić

Middle blockers: Stefana Veljković, Maja Aleksić, Mina Popović

Outside hitters: Brankica Mihajlović, Jelena Blagojević, Bjanka Buša, Bojana Milenković, Katarina Lazović

Pool E (Kaliningrad, Russia): Russia, Korea, Canada, Mexico.
