In an interview with Somos Vóley, the 32-year-old Simón promised to continue contributing the Cuban volleyball as he decided to continue defending the colors of the national team despite his age and the fact that they failed to reach the 2021 Tokyo Olympics. The famous middle blocker will lead Cuba Men on the court in an attempt to qualify for the 2024 Paris Games.

“I’m still here with them. I try to give them a hand and I hope that in the future they will qualify for the Olympic Games,” Simón stated.

Recall that in 2019, he returned to playing for the Cuba National Team after nine years.
